Big portions!
Absolutely delicious!! Perfect for family meals!!
Not only is the food delicious and priced right, I had lost my wallet here during my last visit. The owner didn’t know me but he waited until I returned and made sure I got my wallet back with everything in it. You just don’t see honesty like that anymore. Great food, reasonably priced and pure honesty ... I found the ideal restaurant!! Me and my wife are loyal customers for as long as we are in Hawaii.
Good food. Ample parking. The restaurant itself is somewhat crowded. They accommodate large groups or parties, but the area is small and tight. The kitchen/food service comes out from an area in the back, and the staff is constantly walking through the maze of tables. It is even worse when there is a party! Too bad they don't have a bigger location or better layout.
Authentic Chinese cuisine. NOT American Chinese food. Know what you order. Huge menu. Be respectful of Chinese customs and forms of service. This is definitely a Chinese location! Absolutely wonderful!
The food isn't as good as with the previous owner. The portions are smaller yet the prices have gone up slightly.
My family and I love this place - the food is so good, the staff is super friendly and service is quick and efficient. We ate Thanksgiving lunch here today, and for $70 we got crab puffs, a whole roasted duck, lemon chicken, stir-fried veggies with black mushrooms and veggie-fried rice. The portions are very large, so there's always leftovers!
Excellent food and service!!
Debbie K.Wah Kung Restaurant delicious hot fresh food. Everything we ordered was onolicious. We left with full satisfied tummy. Friendly staff. Excellent customer service. Give it a try your tummy will be happy you did. Ours was. 😋
Great tamarind crabs, wonderful stuffed duck. Michael is super star.
Awful customer service. We arrived at 7:30 PM after attending a graduation. The owner approached us shortly after we sat down and told us in a mean attitude YOU NEED TO ORDER NOW. WE CLOSE AT 9 PM. I was shocked. I have been coming here for years and never had a problem. But after this incident, I will not be going to this restraunt willingly. I wish them luck.
Friendly staff and delicious food!
I Definitely DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. The staff is so rude. As we sat down, the staff brought us wet plates and tossed the napkins, chopsticks on the table infront of us. They dropped my plate on top of the menu while i was reading it. When we were being seated, one of the staff pushed past me in a congested area between two tables, stepped on my foot and tore my sandal. She barely slowed down to apologize. They weren't that busy but the restaurant was seating customers out in a roped off zone of the common area of Ranch 99. Definitely bad.
ordered a honey walnut shrimp and some other stuff as we were eating I got some more honey walnut shrimp to put on my plate then at the bottom of one of the shrimps there was a bird feather. I use to like this place growing up but now I will no longer be going here. you know if it was a hair it wouldn't be too bad but a bird feather??? seriously.
Did not enjoy food. A couple items had a funny taste and smell. Plus side, the portions were large and the wait wasn't long for food. Parking was extremely busy when we went, on a Wednesday afternoon.
Great customer service. Portion sizes great. Food tastes amazing as well ♡ Thank you!
Strong harmha sauce. Only large tables. Slow wait help. Had to ask to order, tired of waiting. Then husbands food came late. AFTER I asked about it. They hadn't noticed he wasn't served!
My favorite Chinese restaurant. Was there when Chinese New Year was being celebrated. Had dragon dancers there to give everyone good luck. The food was excellent, very tasty and a lot was given. Will always go there when I can.
Try the lemon chicken. I enjoyed the crispy gau gee with cake noodle, and the beef choy sum; both were good! Very clean place.
Great Ono Food and Friendly Staff! Free parking, in back of 99 ranch market. Double Birthday Celebrations and we the best Birthday song Ever!!!! Too Much Fun! 🤣🤣😂🤣
This restaurant by far the best I've ever eaten. The food was delicious. A group of 30 people. We ordered food and within minutes food was coming out. Each dish was hot and ONO. Service was great. Very satisfied
This place gives good portion and the food was delicious. The customer service is awesome. Best for birthdays. The owner will sing happy birthday song for you with great vocals. Definitely will recommend anyone who enjoys delicious and affordable food.
The food is good and ample parking. Cantonese food that you would find in Hong Kong. Tasty and good. The combination lunch and dinner plates are big and a pretty good value if you are dining alone or want to try a varied selection of their menu. We had the lunch plate, white rice, beef and broccoli over noodles, chicken, sweet sour spare ribs, and 2 wonton. We also had a small portion of stuffed duck which was good and an order of Jai. Over all a pretty good meal. Downside: they charge for takeout boxes, and the interior needs to be refreshed.
Ono food the staff is awesome. Cheap plates plenty food
The crispy chicken with shou ginger onion sauce is the bomb!
Try the Peking Duck! I really like this restaurant. It's ran by my Chinese buddy's good friend. He raves what a great place this is. We had our used car dealers association meeting here. They really took good care of us. It doesn't take a lot of money to eat like a King here. Try it and really close to the Airport too. In fact it's the only place I like near the airport.
Excellent service.
Lots of parking at the Ranch 99 in Mapunapuna area, lots of choices in their menu with a wall of delectable pictures of some of their entrées and appetizers. Lots of tables and decent wait service. The food was typical of Hawaii's Chinese restaurants. I was a tad disappointed in the roasted pork, as the skin was tough and chewy vs crispy and crunchy. The pot roast pork tasted good but was not as soft as expected. Same with the duck, tasted fine but not as fresh as I preferred. Maybe since we came for dinner the food was not as fresh as perhaps at lunch time?
Good food, good service. Classic local Chinese style
Nice, casual Chinese dining. Always greeted on arrival and thanked on departure. My favorite is wor won tun fun as I like both the shrimp won ton and flat rice noodles. Today, I tried pei pa tofu (soft and creamy inside like fluffy dumplings), kau yuk with taro, and choy sum oyster sauce. My new favorite just might be the tofu as I really enjoyed the texture and the gravy was light enough to lend taste but not overpower the tofu.
We were looking for a place that they have indoor dining. Most of the places that we called were either closed or their seating was full. When I called Wah Kung they were more than welcoming. Before you enter, there's a hand sanitizer dispenser, their tables more than 6 feet apart, every staff wore mask and gloves. We ordered shrimp canton, stuffed tofu, boneless chicken with mushrooms, and beef and broccoli chow mean. Good food and fast service. Supporting local business.
Convenient to dog park
Ordered here as this is my first time having Chinese food in Hawaii (i just moved here) and wow. Best thing i had. It was really good. Enjoyed it.
Awsome
Fast service, fair price, and the salt and pepper pork chop is so good.
This place is great! I am for sure going to be a regular here! Good food and you get a lot for your money! So happy we found this place to eat at. :)
Some of the best Chinese food that I've had in a long while.
Awesome tasting Chinese food, lots of flavor, fresh tasting and not reheated. Bathrooms are clean and well kept too. First time here, but will definitely be back again..
I am excited Wah Kung is back in full swing again. I continue to be amazed at the quality and taste of food no matter what you order, the pleasant and quick service one receives, and the welcoming greeting one receives at Wah Kung. Overall experience has always been excellent.
I would guess, that this place has a new owner. Food was marginal at best. Waitress suggested a new item which was fried rice with two different kinds of topping, and the topping was sweet, and if you like sweet that's great. Would we go back again, no.
Always good here.
We always have a large family gathering here almost every year in their side room. They're always able to accommodate us and serve a large 7 course meal. Great service and food.
The food tasty...salt and pepper shrimp as well as roast duck..,service and price EXCELLENT!
Big space. The food taste better than most Chinese restaurant. Friendly atmosphere, very fun to have birthday party here 🤣
Over-stuffed 🤭😄 If you are not careful, you will overeat because the food is tasty, filling and good portions. Always good to share and bring good company - company makes a difference! I always order their crispy gaugee among the other food items. My faves are stuffed eggplant and/or bittermelon. My brother likes their ginger chicken with lots of the fresh-herb ginger sauce!!!
Sweet sour spareribs was the bomb. Crispy Gau Gee good to
I'm glad Wah Kung is open during these difficult times.
Went for a quick bite and enjoyed every bite. Honey walnut shrimp is so good. So many choices too!
Very good dishes a 10. Good services, friendly employees and great for family functions.
